Updated: Clinique Moisture Surge Gel Creme

About two months ago, I had posted a review of a sample that I had of the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Gel Creme (dear Clinique, please give your products shorter names from now on) - a moisturizer in a gel consistency.  As I recently shelled out the hefty $43 at Shopper's Drug Mart for the full sized tub, and have also become a lot more experienced in photographing and formatting my blog posts, I thought that I would revisit this product and give you an updated feel for it, seeing as my last attempt was a bit sub par.  (I really do love it a whole lot!)

What I love: This is moisturizer doesn't a) break me out or b) make me feel greasy.  The gel consistency is cooling and calming, and sinks in instantly to relieve any tightness or dry patches on my face.  I also love the fact that it is fragrance free, and therefore doesn't contain any of the nasty ingredients used in scented products, that can cause breakouts and irritation.  You also only need a pea sized amount for your entire face!

What I don't love: The price - $43!  Are you kidding me? Luckily, (can't believe that I am saying this) my skin is quite oily in the summer, so I tend not to moisturize near as often then - so hopefully this can carry me through until next winter?

Overall, this is the best moisturizer I have ever tried!  The gel consistency is a miracle for my skin, and it really lives up to the name of thirst relief.  Definitely something I would splurge on if you can afford to, if not, join me in the hunt for a drugstore version of this baby.  But in all seriousness, it's pretty un-dupeable I think.
